In class today, we are still making our website and adding pages. We have learned how to import pictures, add titles and texts, and learned to write our blog. We also made buttons to email Mr. Parker. He also told us about how our grades are down. 150 pixels is a very good number for resolution. To unlock a layer, you double-click the layer. Ctrl Z is a shortcut to undo what you just did. Ctrl D is "de-selecting".

Ctrl backspace fills in the backspace...Today, we made a brush by isolating our selected brush, and then defining it. We also made three of our first projects. In conclusion, it was amusing.

Today, we made the Bling photo. To do this, we made the background gold, wrote bling, applied an uoter glow, inner glow, gradient overlay, satin, and a pattern overlay. We then used Ctrl J to cpoy the layer, took away all the features, and skwed it so it became angled. We also gave it a Gaussian blur to make it look like a shadow. Rasterizing mean making everything an object that is unchangeable. When I tired to do the Bling project by memory, I got pretty much an exact copy of what he did. Mission...ACCOMPLISHED!! Then, I made my own version of the Bling project, but it was Talent...even better. It was a lot of fun being able to customize the picture to have different attributes and make it look 3-D with the shadow.

Today we learned about Frank Stella and the kind of artist he was. We also made a copy of his work. We learned how to copy and paste, use the marquee tool, and create a new layer. We learned about the color wheel and the relationships of the colors on the wheel. I finished my square Frank Stella art, and am now working on the circle one.

Today, I finished my Frank Stella picture, but it doesn't really look like Frank Stella's stuff...anyway, I then decided to try to make lightsabers. I got the basic shape, glow, and structure of the lightsabers and am in the middle of making the cross together and have the glow on the inside.

You can go to history to go back three or four steps. Today, we made the cold photos with the arctic background. Mine was penguins and there were penguins in the background. We used our eraser with a different opacity, the wind feature, the skew feature, and the transform feature. I had a hard time skewing the reflection because i am just picky like that, but eventually got it. I finished my second reflection photo. It has a polar bear on a melted glacier.

Today, we made the fire artwork. We used text, changed the hue/saturation/lightness of the text, and applied a gradient onto the text. We made our own gradient by adding stoppers to the color thingy. In the end, it looks like fire. We also learned how to use the smudge tool. I also made my own version that featured the word, and I quote, "POWA!" Jackson 2013.

Today, we did lots of stuff. We made the embroidered jersey things, but in doing so, had to take a lot of steps. First, we got the denim overlay. Then, we put text on it, arced it, and made a work path out of it. Next, we made a new layer and "stitched" it using imported brushes. Then, we repeated the same thing for the number. Finally, we ended up with a jersey.

Today, we learned how to wrap text around images by making a path and writing in that path. I don't get it, but everyone else did, so it's fine.

Today, we learned how to make a clipping mask to make an image go through letters. After doing that, I made one out of mountains, and then made each individual letter of the word "POTATO" have a different form of potato in it. I am amazing.

Today, we took a selfie and went to select then color range. We took shadows, the darkest, then mid-tones , the second darkest, and left the highlights white, but first we had to adjust the light of our photo. Then we made brushes with things that described us. Yup. After that, we added a white layer on top, a new layer on top of that, filled, with custom brush adjectives, and called it word layer. Then, we hid all layers except the mid-tones and copied that layer by typing Ctrl A and then Ctrl C. Then, added a vector mask to the word layer and used Alt *click* to select the mask, then Ctrl V to past the mid-tone layer on it. Then we Ctrl I to invert the picture, unhide the white layer, and filled accordingly. I forgot to fill shadows with black and mid-tones with 50% gray.

In this class period, we learned how to do the same thing, but instead we desaturated the photo, then posterized it into 4 colors. We also made black and white photos with only one colored thing.

During this period, we made a text image made up of text. We did this by having a photo layer, a black layer, and a text layer with a vector mask of the picture.

Today we used the quick mask tool to give it a non-focused toyish kinda look. That selected it then you use a lens blur to focus the viewer into the thing to be focused on.
