Frank Stella was an artist during the mid-late 1900s. He was born on May 12, 1936. He is the oldest of three siblings. While attending Princeton University for a degree in history, two art professors wanted to introduce to the world of art by taking him to a New York galleries where he met many artists, but the most influential artist was Jasper Jones. Jasper Jones' flag and geometric paintings are what inspired Stella's style. His work was greatly recognized to the point that the Museum of Modern Art housed four of his pieces at the Sixteen Americas exhibition from 1959-1960.
